Our association, the Ethiopian Journalists Persons with Disabilities Association (EJPWD), with financial support from CARD, is implementing a project focused on Inclusive Media and Human Rights Awareness.

The project runs for three months (January 1 – March 30) and aims to strengthen the active participation of journalists with disabilities in both mainstream and social media.

So far, 20 journalists with disabilities have received capacity-building training. In addition, two radio programs focusing on human rights, democracy, and inclusion have been produced, along with several social media awareness posts.

A roundtable discussion was also conducted with representatives from different community groups to promote dialogue and awareness on inclusive media and human rights.

ማህበራችን የኢ.ጋ.አ.ጉ ማህበር ከCARD ባገኘው የገንዘብ ድጋፍ inclusive media and human rights awareness ላይ ያተኮረ ፕሮጀክት በመቅረፅ በማህበራዊ እንዲሁም በሜንስትሪም ሚዲያዎች ላይ ንቁ ተሳትፎ ለማድረግ በአካል ጉዳተኞች ዙሪያ የሚሰሩ የሚዲያ ባለሞያዎች ስልጠናዎችን በመስጠት እየተንቀሳቀሰ ይገኛል። ፕሮጀክቱ ለ3 ተከታታይ ወራት ማለትም ከjan1-mar30 የሚቆይ ሲሆን እስካሁንም ለ 20 አካል ጉዳተኛ ጋዜጠኞች የአቅም ግንባታ ስልጠና ተሰጥቷል፤ ሰብአዊ መብት ዲሞክራሲና አካታችነት ላይ ያተኮረ 2 የራዲዮ ፕሮግራሞች እንዲሁም የማህበራዊ ሚዲያ ልጥፎች ተሰርተዋል። ከተለያዩ የማህበረሰብ ተወካዮች ጋር የጠረጴዛ ዙሪያ ውይይት ተደርጓል።
